Studio Artist at Participate Contemporary Artspace

During August and September, I had the opportunity to work in a temporary project space studio, at Participate Contemporary Artspace, while working on a landscape painting commission.
I'm pleased to say that - from the !st December 2017 I officially joined as a Studio Artist there.
I am now mostly moved in and have already begun working. I'm really looking forward to getting back there after the Christmas and New Year break - to creating new things and being part of the life of the studio that the other talented Artists, Designers and Craftspeople there.
I look forward to taking part in and supporting exhibitions there and facilitating other peoples creativity through outreach and workshops.
If you are not familiar with Participate - it is an Artist Studio collective, that seeks to be a resource for the communities of Shrewsbury. It hosts exhibitions, provides temporary bookable space for people to work in for individuals and community groups, holds open-studios and hosts the Shrewsbury repair cafe too.

What a compelling dive into your journey at the studio it felt as though I was right there, watching you carve out space for purpose and presence in your art. Reading this reminded me of the nights when I log in, surrounded by tabs, and wonder if someone might hire expert for Blackboard assignments that would let me step back, breathe, and return to the canvas of my own learning fresh and ready. Thanks for sharing such an honest slice of creative life it’s a reminder that both creation and comprehension deserve time and care.
